in the round of 96 we saw the floridians hanging tight with the worlds best wqs competitors. Still in the running are Evan Geiselman, Eric Geiselman, Jessee Heilman, Corey Lopez, Sterling Spencer, Gabe Kling, Blake Jones, Asher Nolan and Brian Toth. Good day of surfing in Huntington Beach California for the US OPEN of surfing. A prestigous event brings the world best: doing good here puts u in the spotlight of world surfing. Compitition is serious at this event bec of the all the press, media and the big money that could be won. Some of the heavy talent that are seeded for this event are, Sunny Garcia, Mick Campbell,Jordy Smith, Taylor Knox, and Chris Ward. In the early rounds a few Florida guys did not bring there A game and went down: Kyle Garson, Rylan Mcart, Travis Beckman, Dylan Graves and even former world tour vet Shea Lopez. On the other hand, the FLorida guys who made it to round 2 were Wesley De Souza, Asher Nolan, Jake Kirschenbaum( good to see him competing), Jessee Heelman, Tommy Obrien, and Blake Jones.
